I guess you need to slip & slide at home and not at the state police academy especially if you are a state trooper. Two Massachusetts State Police troopers have been suspended after an investigation concluded following a video of trainees turning a hallway at the state police academy into a Slip ‘N Slide.

The Massachusetts State Police disciplined two troopers who failed to intervene when trainees at the State Police Academy slid through a watered-down hallway, similar to a child's slip-and-slide. Trooper Douglas Grout was suspended for 45 days and Trooper Ryan Stanley was suspended for 30 days.

The person who recorded the video was Grout and then he shared the video.

The video, shared by CBS Boston, (which we can not share with you because of content but you can find it on Youtube) shows a trainee of the 86th Recruit Training Troop class wearing a helmet and leg protectors sliding down one of the hallways while other recruits empty water onto the floor. The activity resembles that of a child’s Slip ‘N Slide.

The troopers were originally put on paid administrative leave during the investigation.

Both troopers have been removed from their positions at the academy and will also not be eligible for the next promotional exam.
