I’d like to add that camDown helps stop foreign state actors (FSA's) from accessing your webcam!

We do so much online shopping that it's inevitable that you will get a package delivered to your home, but that also makes it likely that you will get a package stolen from off your porch. Watching porch pirate ring camera videos are shocking and sometimes funny, but they're never funny when it's your stuff that's getting stolen.

PORCH PIRATES CAUGHT ON CAMERA FOLLOW DELIVERY PERSON

A video of porch pirates following a delivery person in an unmarked vehicle got a lot of views and had a lot of people wondering why the delivery person didn't notice the couple following him. Others wondered why more porch pirates don't get caught. It's probably because it's hard to get a license plate off a car that's stealing packages and unless you can do that, it'll be hard to figure out who the porch pirates are.

Here are a few ways you can keep your packages safe from porch pirates this holiday season:

1. FedEx delivery at Walgreens - Drop off pre-packaged and pre-labeled shipments. FedEx shipping labels and envelopes are not available in store. There are weight and size limits for packages. Click here for more information.

2. UPS Stores and Drop Box locations - If you do a lot of online shopping, or send a lot of packages to your kid at college, this might be a good way to go. Click here for more information.

3. Work - Make sure that your boss is okay with you and your co-workers getting things delivered to your place of business, but because there will be someone there during business hours, it is a safe way to make sure you get your packages without problem.

4. Friends - Since I work weird hours and am home when a lot of my friends are at work, my house has become a drop off point for packages, especially during the holidays. It's also a great way to get together after work to pick things up and have a glass of wine before you head home.
